NEW OWNERS, GIVE EM A CHANCE. We had a great breakfast, food was cooked to order, and the server was efficient and very attentive. The restaurant was clean and appealing. The restrooms were clean and presentable. They do need a new toaster as im not a fan of their toast. Update: 6/12/24 We will not be going back until they get a new toaster. The toast is horrible, and they've stated they were going to get a new toaster for weeks. 7/23/24: The cook (Jerry) is very disrespectful to the waitresses. This needs to be handled by management soon before moral drops to a catastrophic level.
Senate is the only place I recognize as having the best Coney Island. I've come from several states over for decades and will never miss it! Always delicious and ready in minutes!
New owner. His family works the register and they really are nice people! Food has improved. Cleaner than before. Hoping they update decor at some point. If you haven't been in awhile, worth going to again.

I was just at Senate Coney Island for the first time in a long time and it was exactly what I needed. The coney was solid. The chili cheese fries were great. I really like the shredded cheese they use instead of the liquid canned cheese. But to each their own. And I got a Togo breakfast sandwich for my roommate and they really enjoyed it too. And the service was exceptional. Will definitely visit again when breakfast or coney is what I’m craving.
I love this place. I usually get carry out, and it's always very good. I get the biscuits and gravy. So far, it's the best sausage gravy I've found. The staff is friendly, especially Amber. She always writes little notes on my carry out. The restaurant is very clean, lots of parking. My go to place for to go food.
